What’s good about an Oasis Aquila Cooler?
We introduce the new Oasis Aquila water cooler, which features a sleek look and direct chill zero air gap technology. What does this mean? Zero air gap technology epitomizes hygiene as the water cooler has no reservoir. The Aquila maintains full pressurization because of this it eliminates the risk of contamination.
Why should you choose a water cooler without a reservoir?
Water coolers fed by a reservoir are generally described as gravity fed. These water coolers use a reservoir to function, storing water in a tank directly above the dispense heads. The water level in the tank is operated by a ball valve.
Unfortunately, this can lead to bacteria building up as the ideal place for bacteria to fester is where the air meets the water in the tank. While frequent servicing can control this issue, it remains a negative consequence of gravity fed water coolers.
However, the new Oasis Aquila does not have this issue.
How does the Aquila’s direct chill technology work?
As the Oasis Aquila isn’t gravity fed, there is no need for the water to be stored above the dispense point. Oasis have uniquely designed the Aquila using direct chill technology explaining why this unit is demanded in areas where infection control is imperative. Therefore, this is the perfect option for hospitals and care homes.
Zero air gap technology means that the unit receives pressurised water straight into a pressurised copper direct chill coil. The tank of cold water encases the coil to help chill it further. If this sounds super confusing, don’t worry! In essence, it means that the tank constantly chills the produced water and offers immense hygiene benefits compared to ordinary water coolers due to the lack of air gap.
So what else is good about the Oasis Aquila?
Oasis designed the Aquila on the same footprint as the ever dependable Oasis Kalix. The direct chill storage tank is located it very low down inside the unit and this enables Oasis to implement a very high dispense point. The Aquila is the best in its class at 315mm impressively accommodating even the biggest sports bottles.
