Your water cooler should provide fresh, clean filtered great tasting water and it’s impossible to do this without a regular servicing contract.

What is servicing?
Your water cooler should provide fresh, clean filtered, and refreshing tasting water – this is impossible to achieve without a regular servicing contract. The Thirst Alternative provide sanitisation, cleaning and filter change servicing for office water coolers across the whole of Lancashire.
Cleaning and maintenance of water coolers is not a straightforward as it sounds, and should always be carried out by a professional. Every water cooler requires a slightly different technique when approaching a routine service. Some water coolers require tap removal, others can be cleaned with an Aqua Dosa Hydrogen Peroxide Solution.
Heres an outline of an example service:
- Advise client of intended service window.
- Locate machine and set up an “out of service sign”
- Check for any obvious signs of problems, and running temperatures of the machine
- Switch off machine and isolate water supply at the cut off valve.
- Remove and clean the external panels
- Remove and replace UV panels where applicable
- Spray reservoir with sanitisation fluid or clean with aqua dosa (if the tank is sealed)
- Remove and clean drip tray
- Remove and replace the filter
- Turn the water back on and check for any leaks or problems.
- Refit panels
